1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We only collect information that you voluntarily provide or that is generated automatically when you visit the site:

• Contact form submissions: name, email, phone, event type, guest count, event date, event location, estimated budget, message, and how you heard about us.
• Newsletter signups: email address only.
• Event deposits & payments: processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation of payment but we do not store your full card details.
• Booking widget (Cal.com): name, email, selected date/time, and any notes you enter.
• Automatic data: page views, pages and buttons you interact with, browser type, device, approximate location (city level, from your IP address), and the site or search that referred you. This is collected by Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics — see section 5.

3. How we use your information

• Respond to inquiries and prepare quotes.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver your event (menus, logistics, communication).
• Process deposits and final payments.
• Send newsletters and promotional updates — only if you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
• Measure basic, anonymized website performance.
• Comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.

4. Third-party service providers

We share the minimum information necessary with trusted vendors who help us operate the business. Each is bound by its own privacy terms:

• Resend — transactional email and newsletter delivery.
• Stripe — deposit and payment processing.
• Cal.com — booking and scheduling.
• Vercel — website hosting and privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics.
• Google Analytics — website traffic and engagement measurement.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies required for the site and booking/payment widgets (Cal.com and Stripe) to function, and analytics cookies set by Google Analytics.

We use two analytics tools. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and does not identify you. Google Analytics (GA4) sets cookies that recognise your browser across visits, so we can see which pages and search terms actually lead people to enquire — it tells us that a wedding menu page led to a booking, which helps us write things worth reading. We never send Google your name, email address, phone number, or event address.

We do not use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel or any third-party advertising cookies. If you would rather not be measured at all, Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on, and most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do.

6. Data retention

• Inquiry and event records are retained for up to 7 years for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
• Newsletter subscribers are retained until they unsubscribe.
• Anonymized analytics data may be retained longer.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing chefpablosarmiento@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of California, the EU, and other jurisdictions with additional privacy rights may have further options available to them under local law.

8. Children’s privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, and we rely on established service providers like Stripe and Resend for sensitive data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. Material changes will be communicated by email to active clients where appropriate.
